There are four levels in the Novice stream, which leads into the Apprentice stream. Level 1 is the second level in the Novice stream. Learners are introduced to the basics of logic and coding, how computers work and store data, and applying computational thinking skills. Fun, interesting, practical activities encourage learner-centred learning and teaching. Resources such as stickers enhance hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as well as understanding, creativity and reasoning skills. Full-colour illustrations and high-quality photos are used to teach the key knowledge, skills and values as well as to develop visual literacy.
