This is a charming story about Thoko and her friends who make their way to a party on a very unusual bus. This bus has sixteen legs and runs on cake with pink icing! Both the author and illustrator work and live in Zimbabwe. The illustrations for The Animal Bus were awarded a Noma Concours prize in 1995.
