There are four levels in the Novice stream, which leads into the Apprentice stream. Ground Level is the first level in the Novice Stream. Learners are introduced to the world of coding and robotics through computational thinking, and how computers and robots “think”. Fun, interesting, practical activities encourage learner‑centred learning and teaching. Resources such as cut-outs and stickers enhance hand‑eye coordination and fine motor skills as well as understanding, creativity and reasoning skills. Full-colour illustrations and high‑quality photos are used to teach the key knowledge, skills and values as well as to develop visual literacy. A glossary with pictures of selected terms enhances the development of key Coding and Robotics vocabulary.
