How do I start a session?
Once you’ve subscribed to Book Buddy for a title, head to your My Book Buddy page and click Book Buddy to start the chat. You can also launch it from the Licenses tab on your account page.
Can schools enable Book Buddy on existing booklists?
Yes. Schools using Engage automatically have Book Buddy if the books they have purchased support it.
How is pricing structured?
Per book. You buy a Book Buddy subscription for each book. The subscription price is shown next to each book in the catalogue. Your per‑book subscription provides access to Book Buddy here on the retail site, in Engage, and in the Snapplify Reader.
What is the difference between Book Buddy Basic and Book Buddy Pro?
With Book Buddy Basic, you subscribe per textbook. Each Basic subscription gives you full Book Buddy functionality for that book — including explanations, summaries, quizzes, flashcards, and multilingual support.
With Book Buddy Pro, you upgrade all your Basic subscriptions under one yearly plan. Pro removes any chat limits, giving you unlimited sessions across every book you’ve subscribed to (now and in the future), plus priority customer support for faster help when you need it.

Yes. Your chat conversations with Book Buddy are private and secure.
